About

Anthony Howard

I’m Anthony Howard, SEO consultant with 21+ years of hands-on experience in search engine optimization focused on organic search visibility since 2003 — and if you’re a hiring manager scanning for Customer Success, Strategic Partnerships, or BDM fit rather than SEO specifically, the vendor negotiation, client relationships, and cross-functional operations experience below is exactly what you’re looking for. That’s twenty-one-plus years of continuous, hands-on practice, through every major Google algorithm shift since the early keyword-stuffing days, into advanced technical SEO, and over the last two years, deep into what the industry hasn’t fully settled a name for yet: GEO (Generative Engine Optimization), AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), AI visibility. Same underlying skill set, just applied to how AI models like ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini find, understand, and cite a brand, not only how Google ranks it. Pairing that AI layer with two decades of technical SEO fundamentals has been producing measurable results I’m still proving out in real time on my own sites and my clients’.

I’m a people person first, genuinely energized by conversation and relationships. I’m also an analytical, almost compulsively research-driven thinker underneath that. Before I make a call on anything, I want to understand why it works, not just that it works. That mix is probably why SEO held my attention for two decades when plenty else didn’t, it rewards both the people instinct and the research obsession at the same time.

I usually have four or five things running through my head at once, that’s just how I’m wired, but I’ve learned the difference between juggling and doing excellent work. I pick the one thing that matters most right now and give it everything, instead of spreading effort thin across all of them. Logistics research isn’t a nice-to-have for me, it’s the baseline. If a client is dealing with a disruption overseas, I want to already know the answer before they have to ask me.

A career that runs in parallel

Most people in this field pick a lane and stay in it. I built my own internet marketing firm from individual small business clients up to Fortune 500 accounts, consulting with enterprise teams on avoiding the search visibility mistakes that cost large organizations the most, while at the same time running operations for 200+ independent contractors, launching and growing an ecommerce brand, and managing a family rental portfolio. SEO ran underneath every one of those, the thread that ties them all together.

That research-first mindset is what built Bucket List Adventures, LLC., our Travel Agency serving U.S. clients worldwide into a concierge-level operation. My wife Erin and I run it that way on purpose. I’ve personally completed 118 site inspections, hotels, resorts, tours, and cruise ships included, across more than a dozen global regions, because I don’t recommend a place I haven’t stood inside myself. I hold Commodore-level specialist certification with Princess Cruises and specialist certification with Viking, amongst many others, and I’m an active member of CLIA and ASTA. The work covers ocean, river, and expedition cruises, FIT and land travel, luxury all-inclusive resorts, honeymoon and romance travel, rail vacations, multigenerational family trips, and large group travel, often several in the same week, backed by well over 200 preferred travel supplier partnerships built through Cruise Planners’ industry depth. That same curiosity, combined with where I’ve taken my AI work, led to a contributing writer credit in Northern Nevada Business Weekly, June 2026 — writing about why human travel expertise still matters in an AI booking era.

Some of that parallel path wasn’t fully by design. I’m family first, sometimes to a fault, and more than once that’s meant stepping back to help family through an end-of-life transition or ongoing care. I don’t regret any of those decisions, they’re a big part of why my career took the shape it did, and I kept building my craft through every one of them.

Outside of work

I’ve been married to my wife for almost 22 years, and we’re raising two kids together here in the high desert of northern Nevada. Home DIY projects are a constant around here, at this elevation something always needs fixing, and I genuinely enjoy that kind of hands-on problem-solving. We also grow an organic garden together as a family, which has become one of my favorite ways to slow down.

I’m a Christian, and my wife and I are active in our church community. It’s a big part of how we spend our time and who we do life with, including helping look after both sides of our aging parents. When I’m not working or out in the garden, you’ll usually find me shooting sport, traveling, or buried in research on whatever’s caught my attention that week.

Where I can help

Twenty-one-plus years of SEO, two of those years specializing in GEO and AI visibility, and a career built on client relationships, vendor negotiation, and cross-functional operations under one roof. If you’re a business trying to figure out AI search visibility before your competitors do, or a company hiring for customer success, strategic partnerships, or business development, that’s where I fit.

Remote, full-time or part-time, consulting, whatever structure makes sense on your end, that part’s negotiable. What has to be there is a good fit on both sides. If this sounds like your business or your team, let’s have one honest conversation.
